Seven Steps, Taken Deliberately.
Saptapadi takes its name from the seven steps a couple takes together at the heart of a Hindu wedding — each one a separate, considered vow. We plan weddings the same way: as a sequence of deliberate decisions, not a single big push toward a date on the calendar.
Why This Studio Exists.
The destination wedding industry has gotten very good at producing photographs and not always as good at producing weddings that feel like the couple who's actually having them. Two celebrations can use the same venue, the same florist, even the same color palette, and feel completely different depending on whether anyone asked what the couple actually wanted underneath the aesthetic. That question is most of the work. The décor is what's left once you've answered it honestly.
How We Work
- We plan for the wedding you're actually having, not the one that photographs best
- We say when a venue or vendor isn't right, even after you've fallen for it
- We take on a limited number of celebrations each season
- We're honest about cost and timeline, including the parts that aren't glamorous
