Meera & Arjun
An intentionally intimate backwaters wedding, proving that a smaller guest list doesn't mean a smaller design ambition.
The Brief
Meera and Arjun were explicit that they didn't want a large, traditional wedding — they wanted something intimate and quiet — but worried that meant compromising on design and experience quality.
Our Approach
Put the same design rigor into 120 guests as a much larger wedding, expressed through personal, considered detail rather than scale — and help the couple protect the guest list rather than let it quietly grow.
What We Did
- Designed the ceremony around the backwater setting itself, rather than building a generic mandap structure that could have been anywhere
- Helped the couple have the harder conversations about the guest list early, so it stayed genuinely intimate rather than creeping upward
- Used a single, cohesive floral and textile palette consistently across both days, instead of a different theme per event
- Built real rest time into the schedule for the couple, rather than back-to-back events for the sake of a fuller-looking itinerary
The Celebration
A two-day celebration that felt considered rather than scaled down, with the setting itself carrying most of the visual language instead of imported decor.
